Our chapter was started late in 1998 with just a few members. It wasn't until 1999 that the chapter was officially recognized. Originally, the name was the "Philadelphia Chapter". Later, to reflect the membership - which includes people from Pennsylvania, but also New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Mass. and Virginia - the name was changed to "Keystone Chapter".
In the year 2000, two Keystone members attended ETE's West Coast show, EuroWest. It was the inspiration to not only build modules, such as you see here, but also to launch the largest European train show east of the Rockies: EuroEast. The Keystone Chapter has since successfully hosted four Euro East events with attendance reaching over 600. The Keystone Chapter is just one of about a dozen ETE chapters across the U.S. who have contributed to promoting European Trains in the U.S. through enthusiasm for events like EuroEast and EuroWest.
European Train Enthusiasts is the premiere North American organization focusing on European railroading. Founded in 1973, ETE serves modelers, railway fans, related organizations, and the community through public events, working model displays, media presentations, and the publication of our quarterly journal, the ETE Express.
OUR OBJECTIVES: ETE's aim is to foster interest in European railways by

CHECK US OUT! ETE reflects the broad and diverse interests of its members. Among the rail fans you will find amateur historians, travel enthusiasts, and preservationists. For modelers, virtually every scale, gauge, and control system (DC, AC, and DCC) is represented. ETE also maintains a modular standard for European HO (DC and AC) and many chapters include well-established Module Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that build and operate transportable display layouts. The Keystone Chapter meets in Marietta, PA., Lancaster County.
NEW DECADE - NEW DIRECTION With our recent growth, we have refocused our efforts on providing a top quality quarterly journal to our members, facilitating the creation and growth of local chapters, and promoting our big annual shows, EuroEast and EuroWest.
